The
X-24 Bug is a cone-shaped rocket that can be scratch built for under
$1. About 200 of these were biult at 2008 Buckeye District
Daycamp. It can be an erratic flyer -- when you fly it, make sure
you have plenty of room. It seems to fly best on C6-3 and C6-5
engines. It "should" fly ok with A and B class engines, but I
have not had good experience with the smaller engines.
If you decide to use this model, make sure you build and fly several examples so you're familiar with its quirks.
See http://www.oldrocketplans.com/quest/que2008/que2008.htm for a variation of this model. |
